His Walk In Me

After I came to the Lord I could not keep my head out of the Bible. I ate up every word and it became a steady and Daily diet. I was like a sponge. My wife though was not too happy because of this. She was a dedicated Catholic and had prayed in her own way for me to come to know God and start to go to church on a regular basis. I came but not in the way she expected or even wanted. One day she took the Bible out of my hands and threw it against the wall. She was very upset because I was always reading and not showing her the attention she desired from me.

It was that day that God showed me how to witness. After several months of reading, meditating and taking in meetings he wanted me to begin to share what I had found. After that day I loved my wife into His Kingdom. It was not because she did not know Him but she did not know Him like I had begun to learn. She gave her life to Him and now her head was in the Book of the Author of Life.

In 1973 we organized and established a bible study in my neighbourhood. A note went into the mailboxes of all my neighbours telling them that we wanted to share with them something we had found in our lives. We had coffee and donuts for them. There were twelve people that came the first night, 11 women and one man. The next week all twelve gave their lives to the Lord Jesus.

This grew into 3 weekly bible studies and a prayer meeting within the next 10 years. During these years hundreds gave their lives to the Lord, children, youth and adults alike. I raised and trained two groups to help me with the vast work, an adult and youth leadership group. This adult and youth leadership helped me with monthly seminars (many were weekend seminars), monthly movies held at halls and high schools, ministry trips, nursing homes, concerts, week long trips to help others start youth ministries, highschools and caring for the many Evangelists we had come to our area. There were many outings planned for the youth and it was their help that made the difference.

During these years the Lord had lead me to other Pastors who all respected my Non Denominational standings. These pastors took me into their watchful care and direction as I grew in the Lord. I love and respect these men a great deal because of their watchful care over me. I met with them weekly for prayer and guidance. Pastor Stan Hibbins (Independant Baptist), Pastor Andy Prinston (Non denominational), Pastor Roy Campbell (Penticostal) and Pastor Jim Thompson (Evangelistcal Baptisit) were men of God and I will always remember them.

One of our monthly seminars was held at a Pentecostal Church that seated 2,000 people. It was jammed packed with people sitting on the floor in the aisle ways. I remember it very well because it brought a profound change in my ministry for the Lord. We had Charles and Francis Hunter out to minister to our Canadian city. The Amigos were the musical group who sang a song I will always remember - Ten Thousand Angels. On the second night I had to leave with my family early. I left the meeting in the hands of a faithful leader. As my family was leaving there was a street tramp standing outside the church crying as he was listening to the anointed song of Ten Thousand Angels. My wife and three children stood there and witnessed to this man leading him to the Lord. We were still with him as the people were leaving. I was stunned this night because every person pushed this man away from them and said nasty things to him. He was so happy he thought all who came out of that church were like my family. My wife and I cried before the Lord that night seeking His Face for His Church. At the end of the 3 day seminar Charles and Francis approached me and told me that they have never had a seminar like this one before. They praised the youth and my staff for their dedication and expertise. Many of these leaders are now pastors, elders and leaders in churches all over Ontario.

Then the Spirit led me to organize and established a church after two years of arguing with Him. The church organized and established an A.C.E. Church School which I had the awesome pleasure of pastoring and supervising for 6 years. During these years I kept the 3 bible studies and 3 times a week I ministered in a nursing home, providing music and services for the elderly. In 1990 the Spirit told me I was nearing the end of my time as Pastor of this church. With the witness of three evangelical friends of mine told me my work was done there and I was to take a rest. I struggled with this, and with great torment I finally obeyed. I was leaving something I loved and treasured the most in life to do. I loved the people who fellowshipped there dearly and many were upset with me when I left. I moved to a city that was two hours away because I was too well known. Here I cried before the Lord not knowing why He removed me. One day I went to a Women's Aglow meeting who had Matilda Kipford speaking that night. I loved to listen to this elderly woman. The Aglow Committee said I could come. As I entered the door I walked passed two women talking in the doorway. One called out to me and asked me why I was arguing with the Lord. She told me that He gave me this time to refresh myself in Him and was giving me my heart's desire to spend more quality time with my six children before they left my home. She added that God was bringing me out of the Sonship stage and I was entering into the Fathership stage. I later learned it was Matilda's daughter who had spoken to me.

I will add more in another Article of my walk with Him. See you then!!!

Now after 10 years, the Spirit has released me from my rest. I am ready and long to go wherever He leads me to go. He has sent me to the coasts of Australia and not yet sure why. If you require the services of a pastor please email me no matter where you are in the world. Thank You Jesus.
