And Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be
thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall
have whatsoever he said.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray,
believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your
Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive
your trespasses. Mark 11:22-26

The verses above in Mark 11 have been very controversial verses in the Christian world. I have read many books from authors on both sides about Super or Hyper Faith and how those that believe this way or that way are wrong and visa versa. I wish that we in the Christian world leave each to his own and join hands on the basics of our belief and His name is Jesus.

No wonder the world shuns the Gospel today and I do not blame them. When we
speak with one voice forgetting what each other believe and unite under the basic Gospel of Jesus I believe there will be a world wide revival such as this world has never seen. I read these verses and I believe them and I also believe they will work for any Christian who truly believes them. Jesus spoke the same basically in John 14 but He added that we would do more than He did. With this out of the way let me share this true story in my life. I will remember it until the day I die and go home to be with my Jesus.

One summer in the 1970's we went on vacations with my sister and her husband to a cabin. It rained in Canada for most of that summer. When we reached our destination it was drizzling. I told my brother-in-law Gary that I would pray that we would have a nice week so we could do some fishing. Each day we would get up at 5 a.m. to go fishing and it was raining. I told Gary that we would keep believing and that we would get to go fishing and swimming. the week went by and it was our last day there and I told Gary that we would be going fishing no matter what. I was acting out of this scripture above and was going no matter what I saw.

The next morning at 5 a.m. we woke up and it was drizzling and was damp and cold. He said, "Well so much for faith". I said we were going anyways and that the rain was not going to stop me. He reluctantly said, "Ok", and we gathered our gear and put it in the boat. We started out and finally found a spot and we were satisfied that it was a good spot to fish and threw in the anchor. We fished for about an hour then Gary said he has had enough and started to pull the tarp over him. Just before he covered over his head he grinned and said to me, "Hey Jim, where is this God of yours", and laughed. His sly grin and statement made me boil. Soon I heard him snoring and I began talking to the Lord.

I prayed for 1.5 hours and believe me, I was mad. I told God off you might say. I mean if anyone was out there in this rain fishing off this lake and could hear me he would of said I should be chained and locked up in a looney bin. I told God that my witness to Gary was destroyed and that if He did not answer me I would never tell another soul about Him. Finally, I repented of my words and told Him I was sorry for what I said and regardless if I was left looking foolish after I witnessed for Him I would continue on speaking of Him because I knew He was God and was real.

Just as I was finishing and the tears were streaming down my face, something awesome happened. I felt like I was floating on air. Everything was different around me and to this day I can not explain what I felt. It was like I was in another dimension or time. The cloud filled sky all of a sudden stopped dead. Then they began to head back where they came from. It was like watching a movie that went through the days going fast. I sat in the boat startled at what I was experiencing and what I was witnessing. The clouds rolled by really fast like it was rewinding and then all of a sudden there was a blue sky. The sun beat down and it was getting hotter and hotter.

All of a sudden Gary woke up and threw the tarp off of himself. Beads of sweat were rolling off his forehead. I looked straight into his eyes and said, "That's where My God is. Are you getting His answer". I had this grin on my face from ear to ear and let out a shout, "Praise you Jesus". He could not believe how hot it was. As the day progressed it went into the 100's. It turned out to be the hottest day of the whole summer. We and the kids later got to swim and did things all day together. Praise The Lord!!!!! I remember that day like it was yesterday and so did my brother-in-law. A few more years later he gave his life to the Lord.

Some of you might not believe this story but believe me it happened. God is such an awesome God to serve. It is a pleasure to serve Him.

We must remember always that the work we do for Him is never in vain. No matter what the prayer is do not think it is impossible. Spend time with God and always expect the best from Him. I have to say that I am a blessed man in life because I had a great mom and dad. I can relate to God because of them. God is much like them. If I asked them for something they knew if I was capable of handling it or not. They made me wait sometimes or gave me what ever I asked if it was in their ability to do so.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Pr. 4:23

Father I thank you for just being you. I am so blessed by you and your presence. I desire you more and more of you with each passing day Lord. I appreciate you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. I am yours and you are mine forever. Father I thank you for giving me favour with yourself and man. I love you! Amen!
